Hello SAPB Families,
Your dedicated Board of Directors at Santa Ana Pony Baseball have been working diligently with local officials and monitoring the latest updates while holding out hope that the many variables would fall into place allowing the SAPB Spring season to resume. With that being said, we are currently at the mercy of government officials and the COVID-19 pandemic, which as of right now is not showing signs of slowing down in our great city. In an effort to be transparent and maintain an open dialogue, we are reaching out to inform you that our 2020 Spring Season is indeed cancelled. The current landscape of the COVID-19 pandemic would not allow us to provide a safe environment for the families of SAPB and more importantly our athletes.
As we have prepared for this possibility, you will find the following three options offered to all of SAPB families.
Option #1: 2020 SAPB Fall Registration – No Charge
Option #2: Tiered refunds as follow:
(We derived these amounts from the cost already incurred in uniforms, city fees, Pony National fees, insurance fees, Opening Day expenses, baseball equipment for coaches, baseballs, and other field maintenance costs)
Option #3: Withdrawal from Spring 2020 and donate registration fees to SAPB.
We fully understand how the COVID-19 Pandemic has affected the families of SAPB community and we want to do as much as we can to provide refund options. As you all know SAPB is a 100% non-profit. SAPB from its very inception has always worked to keep registration fees as low as possible while providing our players with the best baseball experience. This is achieved by factoring in our earnings throughout the full calendar year. (Snack bar, league fund raisers and sponsorships etc.…). We ask that if possible you continue to support the SAPB fundraising opportunities as this is how SAPB builds for the future.
Angels Night: Has been cancelled, refunds will be issued.
Spring Raffle: We will move forward with our spring raffle which is still required for every player. We will send detailed instructions to your team parents about deadlines and how you can turn in your ticket stubs and money. We will send out a date of the drawing shortly.
SAPB Fireworks Stand: We will once again be having our fireworks stand located on the corner of Bristol and McFadden in front of El Capitan El Patron De Los Mariscos, so please come and join us and send your friends and family as well.
We want you to know that during this time of uncertainty the Santa Ana Pony Baseball community will continue to rely on our great coaches, players, parents and volunteers. Together we will come out of this stronger and better than ever.
Thank you for your patience and understanding.
If you have any questions please feel free to contact us.
